NEW APPLICATION PROCESS FOR SECURITIES-BACKED LINE OF CREDIT

New applications for Securities-Backed Line of Credit should be submitted using the Talea loan automation platform.

Application for Securities-Backed Line of Credit is available under the Account Applications & Forms tab. 

Please submit (a) the completed, signed application form, (b) supporting documentation, if applicable, and (c) a copy of each applicant’s driver’s license to:   SBLOCTransactionTeam@thebancorp.com or Fax: 302.791.5787.

To help maintain the security of your financial information, please do not include your account number or Social Security number in any non-secure communication.

The Bancorp Bank, N.A. (Bancorp) will underwrite and decision the loan, normally within 3-5 business days.  For full processing time please allow 10-15 business days for individual/joint and trust applications and up to 30 business days for business applications.  Quicker closing times can be arranged, so please advise if the funds are needed by a specific date.

If the loan is approved, you will be notified.  The Lending Team will work with you and the borrower to determine a suitable closing date and obtain funding instructions from the borrower.  Loan documents will be mailed to the borrower, with clear instructions where to sign, notarize and return the completed documents.  Also included with the loan documents is a wire request form.  The borrower will then receive 2 Welcome letters/emails with a password and user ID (separated for security reasons) and detailed instructions for logging into www.kestraloanaccess.com.

Checks typically arrive an average of 7-14 business days after Bancorp receives the completed and signed loan documentation.  Please note that Bancorp provides free standard check orders and reorders (single or duplicate checks.) If a borrower would like to order another style of checks, they can with a $15 courtesy discount from Bancorp.

After a loan is established, statements are produced monthly.  Click here to see a sample.

If the loan is declined, The Bancorp Bank, N.A. will call the client to advise them, and follow with a notice of Adverse Action.  This notice will detail why the loan request was denied.  You will also be called and notified the loan has been denied, but regulations prevent the Bank from discussing specifics with you.
